Doraemon Appointed as the Anime Ambassador

On March 19, Japan's all-time-favorite anime character "Doraemon" was appointed as the "Anime Ambassador" of Japan. The inauguration was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and received an official assignment letter from Foreign Minister Masahiko Komura.

The Anime Ambassador has been founded as part of the cultural diplomacy through pop culture. It was proposed by the former Foreign Minister, Taro Aso who is also known as "Rozen Aso" after being witnessed reading the manga "Rozen Maiden". For one year from his appointment, Doraemon will be appearing in the events held by diplomatic establishments abroad such as by the overseas Japanese embassies and Japanese Consulate General, to introduce and promote Japanese society and culture.

Doraemon will not only help Nobita-kun, but also play a part to help the country of Japan. It seems like he will be popping out though his "Dokodemo door" to introduce all the good points about Japan. If he has his "Translation konjac" then his activities abroad might be a lot easier and better.
